About the presenter:

Christine Ivers attained a BFA in painting and two-dimensional design from Hartford Art School after which she worked in the advertising field and owned her own company. As a second career she returned to her love of painting and was drawn to pastel. She is the Past-President of the CT Pastel Society and a former member of PSA Board of Governors where she is a Master Pastelist and was inducted into the IAPS Master Circle of Pastelists. She is a current Vice President of the International Association of Pastel Societies and is affiliated with numerous pastel societies and art organizations. Her artwork has been described as vibrant and textural with dynamic light. She is known for what she calls her “NightScapes”, which contrast night’s darkness and glowing lights, and for her landscape paintings with their subtle play of colors filtered through nature’s atmosphere. Teaching is also part of Christine’s life and she dedicates herself to helping others hone their talents through their chosen medium. Christine developed the Photoshop Elements tutorial on image optimization for the CT Pastel Society and has presented it numerous times to various groups.
