About this year Juror of Awards:
Jill Parry is an artist, arts educator and founder and curator of Gallery B at the Rye Arts Center.
She was born in Wales and studied art and design at Birmingham College of Art in the United Kingdom with additional studies at Slade School of Fine Art in London.
Jill has had a wide involvement in the arts though her teaching, traveling and exhibiting. She taught textile design at the University of Papua New Guinea and ran a hand painted silks studio at Camden Lock in London.
As a teaching artist Jill has worked in many schools and community residencies, developing K – 12 arts in education projects and creating large scale art installations. She was awarded an artist grant from ArtsWestchester for a Fiber Mural community project at Mamaroneck Library, NY.
Currently, Jill works with artists in critique groups and advises on various committees to promote the arts in the community. She works from her studio in Mamaroneck, NY and exhibits widely in galleries and museums. Her work can be found in private collections worldwide.
