Mamaroneck Artists’ Guild is a vibrant community of artists from the tri-state area, dedicated to sharing knowledge, technique, inspiration, and fellowship. We invite artists to apply for membership through our jury in process.

Benefits and Responsibilities of Membership
Exhibit & Sell Your Work
- Apply for solo and spotlight shows
- Submit work to group and themed exhibitions annually, including the Awards Show.
- Submit artwork to our online web gallery.
- Maintain a current artist bio on the MAG website Get listed as MAG artist on MAG website
- All exhibited and consigned work must be for sale
– Artists receive 60% of each sale, MAG retains 40% (select shows may offer a higher commission)
Engage & Participate
- Attend MAG events: workshops, programs, figure drawing sessions, demos, receptions, and more
- Run a workshop or demo showcasing your skills
- Become an active part of a local artist community
- Volunteer on committees – 10 hours/year expected
– Or, pay a volunteer exemption fee - Share your exhibits outside of MAG in our monthly email newsletter sent to members and collectors
- Stand for election to the Board of Directors or lead a volunteer committee
Artist Membership Fees
Jurying Fee: $35
One-time Initiation Fee: $50
Annual dues: $285.00
Emerging Artist Membership Fees
(for artists 25 years and younger)
Annual membership dues: $50

Pay the non-refundable application fee:
– $35 for new members
– $10 for current member applying in a new medium (free for emerging member)

Artwork Submission Guidelines
You may apply for up to two media categories (e.g., oil & watercolor)
- Submit 5 images (under 1MB each) per category. The artwork should be completed within the last 3 years.

- For 2D work: Photograph only the artwork (no frames), in good lighting
- For 3D work: Include clear photograph of front and back per each artwork
- Include a short artist statement (max. 150 words) in the email with the images.
What We Look For
Jurors evaluate submissions based on:
- Creativity and originality of vision
- Mastery of technique and materials
- Strong composition
- Professional presentation (framing, matting, etc.)
We are looking for a cohesive, consistent style across your submitted work.
Notification
You will be notified of the jurying decision within one week by email.
