Juror: Susan Eisner Eley
Susan Eisner Eley founded Susan Eley Fine Art in the spring of 2006 as a salon-style gallery in a townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The Gallery focuses on contemporary art by emerging and mid-career artists. In addition to an active exhibition program, the Gallery participates in international art fairs in New York City, Miami, Houston, Silicon Valley and Toronto, and is active on several online platforms, including 1stDibs and Artsy. Eley has curated and juried several exhibitions off site, most recently the Silvermine Arts Center’s Guild Group Show (2018). Eley has worked in public relations and education at the Morgan Library & Museum, the Mayor’s Art Commission of the City of New York and interned at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy. She is a former freelance editor and writer, who has written extensively on fine art and dance for national and regional publications, and as a blogger for The Huffington Post. Eley has a BA in Art History from Brown University and an MA in Visual Arts Administration from NYU.

Accepted Media: The exhibition will include original work in ANY MEDIA, 2D or 3D completed after January 2016. . Only original artwork will be accepted. No Giclees. Work may not exceed 15” in any direction (if 2D that includes frame; if 3D that includes the base).

Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 years and older. Artists may submit a maximum of 5 entries. Work exhibited in prior MAG Small Works exhibitions is not eligible.

Fees: $40 for up to 3 entries + $10 for each additional entry. There is a maximum of 5 entries. ($40 for 3 entries, $50 for 4 entries, $60 for 5 entries)

Submissions: All images must be submitted as jpg files at 72dpi resolution, 600 pixels in the longest dimension, and a file size of 1MB or less. All required fields on entry form must be completed. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Entry fees are not refundable, and all deadlines are final. All work must remain on exhibition for the duration of the exhibition.

Notification of Acceptance: By email. March 25, 2019

Delivery of Shipped Work: Shipped Work must arrive at the Mamaroneck Artists Guild, 126 Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont, NY 10538 between April 9 – 12, 2019. All shipped work must include prepaid return shipping label, be trackable, and have appropriate packaging for return of artwork. All work must be finished and completely dried. 2D work must be suitably framed and wired for hanging (no sawtooth or clip hangers).

Hand Delivered Work: Hand delivered work must arrive at the Mamaroneck Artists Guild, 126 Larchmont Avenue, Larchmont, NY 10538 on April 14  or April 15 between 12 – 4pm.

Removal: All work must be removed on May 11 or May 13, 2019. Pick up hours are 1-5 pm. If not removed by this deadline, there will be a $35 administrative charge and storage charge of $5 per day. After 30 days, the art including all rights, title and interest of the artist in and to the work, will become the property of MAG.

Reception: Saturday, April 27, 2019, 3-5pm at the Mamaroneck Artists Guild, 126 Larchmont Ave, Larchmont, NY 10538.

Sales: All work must be for sale. A commission of 40% will be charged on all sales. Prices may not be changed from price listed on entry form.

Liability & Insurance: Every care will be taken to provide for the safety of all artwork. Entries will be handled with all possible care. MAG its officers and agents will not be responsible for any loss or damage. MAG does not insure entries and exhibits. Works will be handled and exhibited at the artist’s own risk.

Prizes: Cash prizes will be awarded by the Juror.
