A Gift of Art Guidelines

Gift of Art 2018 – GUIDELINES
Monday, Nov 21, 2018 – Dec. 24, 2018
Artists’ Reception: Dec. 8, 5-7pm (Snow Date:  Dec 15, 5-7pm)
All work should be professional quality and new to MAG

2D Artists

  • Receiving Monday, Nov. 19, noon – 4pm
  • You must be juried in the media you wish to exhibit.
  • Framed limited edition giclées are allowed as wall work, if you have juried into this category.
  • Please bring ONE piece only. If it is sold, you will be notified to bring in another.
  • Work should be no larger than 24” in any direction including frame and is suggested to be priced under $500.
  • You may also bring up to 3 additional matted works in your juried media. Size limit no larger than 11” x 14” including the mat. Each piece must be wrapped in acetate, labeled (artist, title, size, medium) and priced on the back.

3D Artists

  • Receiving Tuesday, Nov. 20, noon – 4 pm
  • You must be juried in the media you wish to exhibit. Work should be NEW
  • Work should be no larger than 24” in any direction and is suggested to be priced under $500..
  • If you are a jeweler, there is no specific limit, but excess work will be stored and put out as sales require.

Holiday Boutique

  • Receiving Tuesday, Nov. 20, noon – 4 pm
  • If you wish to display gift items that do not fall within your juried category, eg, ornaments, scarves, pocket books, cards, small matted or framed work (no larger than 5” x 7”), please bring a sample of the gift items you wish to display in the boutique to the gallery, or send a jpeg of a sample for approval, by Monday, November 12 at the latest.
  • All work for display must have a price tag showing Artists Name or initials, ID# and Price, attached when it is brought in. Don’t wait until receiving day to tag your items. Please detail your items for consignment on an inventory sheet prior to your arrival. Copies of consignment sheets may be emailed on request or picked up in the gallery during usual opening hours at your convenience. Each item you bring in must be entered separately on the sheet and must have the same ID# and price as shown on the price tag.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT SPACE IS LIMITED AND ALL WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED AND DISPLAYED AT THE DISCRETION OF THE GALLERY DIRECTOR

Pick-up for all Boutique Gift of Art items: Friday, January 4, noon to 5 pm

Pick up for all wall work and sculpture: Saturday, January 5, noon to 5pm
